Weeke Farm is 1.5 miles from Modbury. Modbury offers a range of shops including unusual gift shops that are perfect to browse for holiday momentoes. A choice of quality restaurants and pubs. In May 2007 Modbury became the first plastic-bag free shopping town in Europe!
There is always something new to see and do in Modbury and its surrounding district. There are numerous signed walks, rights of way and bridle ways that can be explored on foot or bike. There is ample opportunity to go sea fishing, or trout fishing in our local rivers including the Yealm and Aune (Avon).These rivers are also migrating points for many birds. There are also several blue-flag beaches with in a five mile drive of the town.
Ivybridge is 4 miles away & offers shops, cafe, pubs, a sports centre with swimming pool and supermarket.
Historic towns such as Totnes, Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Salcombe are all well worth a visit. Attractions within reach for a day trip include Dartmoor National Park, Pennywell Farm, Plymouth Dome, National Marine Aquarium, Woodlands Adventure Park, the Eden Project and a variety of National Trust properties.
